On offer is a modern passenger expedition cruise ship designed to operate on international voyages and in the harsh environments of the world’s polar regions. It is a sister ship of previously delivered HONDIUS in operation since 2019.

.

The Vessel is environmentally friendly to protect as much as possible the most unspoiled places on the planet, extraordinary seascapes, icescapes and wildlife. Ship uses LED lighting systems, steam heating plants, waste heat recovery, biodegradable paints and lubricants and state-of-the-art power management systems to keep fuel consumption and CO2 levels to the absolute minimum.

Efficient control systems for light and other electrical consumers supplied in order to reach low electrical consumption and low heat dissipation.

The Vessel has Polar category B and it is designed for lowest MDLT of -10 deg C.

Operational area is Arctic, East and west Greenland, Antarctic peninsula. Highest expected latitude of operation is Arctic without limits (North Pole) and Antarctic 78 degrees South.

The vessel is arranged for maximum number of 194 passengers and 72 crew members, i.e. maximum of 266 persons on board.

The crew accommodation and service spaces arrangement allow the crew to perform to their best ability.Ship offers comfortable four-star accommodations for passengers in 80 suites and cabins within eight different categories, featuring plenty of nautical textures and colours, and options for twin, triple and quadruple occupancy. All cabins feature private bathrooms with showers; flat-screen televisions; hair dryers; closets and storage space; very small sitting areas; and Wi-Fi access.

The Vessel is to be single screw with a traditional bow (no bulb) and a transom stern.

The hull form designed in order to provide minimum propulsion power demand, good sea-keeping qualities for increased passenger comfort, good open sea manoeuvring qualities, good harbour manoeuvring qualities.

Main and auxiliary engines are running on MGO. Capacity to be provided for 12000 nm at speed of 12 knots and normal hotel load.

SPEED

Trial speed at summer draught and 85%MCR of propulsion motors is 15.0 knots.

The related fuel consumption is approx..800 l/h

Economical speed is 12 knots with single main engine running.

Optimization of hull form and propeller performed accordingly.

Consumption for economic speed is approx..445 l/h for operation with a single main engine.

Operational profile predicts that the ship will mainly operate at slow cruise with one propulsion engine, at speeds up to 12 kts and shaft generator for electric hotel load.
